Default Headlights...

Hey everyone. I just recently baught an 04 xB and I already started putting money in this baby and I'm now looking for some headlight housings. I'm already getting an HID kit so all I really need are the housings. I found some really nice ones on a picture and I tried to find them on ebay and they all seemed rather cheap. I live in canada, so I can only buy from ebay.ca since ebay.com would cost a lot of shipping lol.

Here is a picture of the lights I found on google:

those look like Sonars. Don't buy your HID's yet, cause they take a 9006 bulb, your stocks are H4.

Alright. I seriously hate ebay though haha XD. Could somebody used to ebay please hook me up to a link from a good quality HID housing from ebay.ca? Because I seriously can't really tell the difference between a cheap and a good quality housing since they're all around the same price..... And I also have another question. The HID kit I was going to buy came directly from japan. My friend got one for his golf vr6 and I installed it no problem and I was wondering if it would still fit on my car or if the japanese kit they have for the scion bB wouldn't fit?

they are make/model specific, they are bulb specific. and you get what you pay for.

Those unfortunately are the cheaper of the two. It's the first style with the "eyebrow" light. I'm sure those selling the eyebrow ones are selling them as new old stock. The ones posted by myblackyxb look to be the newer version of the sonars, I think third revision now.

just watch out when you put the HID's in them, the high beam takes an H1 and the low beam (projector) takes a 9006 be very careful when adjusting the light because even the name brand lights are still cheaply made.

also there will probably be a sticker on the housing that says do not use with HID, you can ignore that, I ran HID's in my sonar housings for a couple of years with no problems other than fogging sometimes.

Ok, thanks for the info. But when you say fogging, is it really bad? Because I live in Canada and I unfortunitly have to ride my scion through winter this year and I wouldn't want it to fogg up every morning when I start the car.....

It's luck of the draw, I have one that fogs up when it rains.

I would bake them, put them in the oven on low heat and press them together the best you can, it should seal them well.

The ones in the pic looks like the black version of mine....

They fog when raining or washing the car. Either bake to reseal or run a bead of sealant all the way around. The headlight housing also supports the front bumper. Mine aren't that strong, so the bumper gap where the fender meets it is off. I'm probably going to go back to stock housing.

Alright. And I have one last question.... Is it possible to put HID's in the stock housings? My friend said he could get me them from a store in Montreal which orders from japan.....?

Please don't use HIDs in a refractive housing... it ____es people off. Yeah, you can "aim down" the light, but the glare is still extremely prominent. It's even worse when the streets are wet.
