Here's a pic of my DIY headlght mod...
Bored again, so I thought I'd try something else...

Similar to what some other people have done, I know.
Eventually, I'll get some other headlights- but for now, I kind of like this.
Opinions welcomed.

Not really different than what some others on here have done..... I did the ovenbake method to pull the outer clear away from the other parts (baked a little too hot-theres a slight wave in the headlight in the pic), and it was pretty much all masking tape, and spray paint( I used gloss black engine enamel. I doubt the headlights are gonna get that hot, but its good to be careful). I only painted the lower portion of the inside headlight reflector, tho. I wanna keep my lights as bright as possible, and the black reflects all around. the outer rounded parts on the headlight are shaped by using masking tape, and some old scratched CDs I had laying around!!! Gotta love that junkyard/trailerpark style modding!!! measured them off to make sure both lights would come out even- painted- let to dry for awhile-back in the oven seal them back up,and put them back on the car...took about 4 hours (including 2 1/2hours dry time).
They are actually the cheapy apc pepboys headlights...I would be embarrased to admit this, but I'm really happy with them -so screw it. I paid about 30 bucks for them, as opposed to $50-80 I've heard people yhave spent on PIAAs, and whatever.
The bulbs come with a disclaimer that they are "for offroad use only. Not legal for street use", but they aren't that bright! I was just happy that the blue in it matches my turnsignal lights, and my sidemarker bulbs.
If you want blue, these are good. But avoid the sylvania 'cool blue' bulbs. They suck, are dimmer than stock, and look less blue than my ***** do.
