bB is the "JDM" name for the car.

In the U.S. there is only one generation xB (so far)

In Japan they had an older one that looked pretty much the same. The newest (Gen 3) bB in Japan looks totally different.

2nd gen has not been released yet, although a bunch of people have seen it.

while not completely different, our scions over here are basically the second generation of the vehicle. There are enough differences between the original and the jdm second gen (facelifted) version, that they should be considered different generations. Anyone with a 1st gen bodykit mounted on there U.S. scion xb will vouche for that.

If you are reffering to the bB the 1st and 2nd generation look essentially the same. The main difference is with the bumpers. The 1st gen were not equipped with impact bars so the front and back bumpers dont stick out as far. This is why jdm bodykits will specify fist and second gen, to put as first gen body kit on a 2nd gen bB (which is exxentially the current xB) requires a lot of fabrication to lenghten the peices.

If you read my post, you'd see that I am just stating that there is technically a 1st and 2nd gen xB, with the 3rd out in japan right now. I know of the differences in the bumper styles personally, if you view my profile. My point was that there is enough difference in length of bumpers, grille styles, clean license plate hatch, etc... to justifying calling the facelift a 2nd gen.

I did read you post and im not arguing with you or your post, I was basically specifying what you meant by "facelift" as you gave no explanation. WTF, everyone on the other forums are right people on SL or A-holes for no reason.

Sorry if you felt offended by my comment. I wasn't trying to be rude, just point out that the facelift did have a good amount of difference. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
