Default HID Kit Question

I currently have the Dual Halo style projectors in my box (came with the car when I bought it) and I really do NOT like the light output they have, nor am I terribly fond of the LEDs by the turn signal or the halos themselves. I am going to be replacing them with a set of Sonar Projectors in about 2 weeks.

I want to go ahead and get an HID kit and install them in these current dual halo headlights. From what I understand, the stock headlight is an H4, but the projectors use an 9006 style bulb on its own harness. Would I be correct in assuming I have to order the 9006 then?

Does the Sonar Projector use the same style of bulb?

Since they are dual projectors, if I wanted to run HID in my brights I would have to buy 2 kits correct?

Sorry for the noob questions, but everyone has to start somewhere!

Thanks!

all the projector sets ive seen have been 9006, yes.

yes you would need two seperate kits in order to have highs and lows with HIDs. really, though, i would figure just HIDs in the lows would be just as good as highs.

well, other than the difference in shape of the lens and such..

Yeah I would just go with the HID's as your low beams. Most of the projector's I've seen have an H1 style bulb.
Althought there are many styles out there.

so with the projectors

can you just plug in your normal headlight bulb into the low beam housing? skipping the 9006?

then just have high/low in the low beam projector?

(i know people said they dont shine as bright)

so i figured if you just use your stock harness it would be fine or am i mistaken?
