Default hit and run / while parked - pic

This sucks man. I am constantly maintaining the car, washing, waxing.....etc..... and some [Expletive deleted] who can't drive decides to not pay attention then just take off.
Just venting.

That really sucks, that happened to one of my cars a while back. Some a-hole backed into one of my previous cars and left a huge dent in the back gate. I feel your pain.

try washing it with a little denatured alcohol or even paint thinner to get the white off, if its dented or scratched then its patch/body work might run you a couple hundred.

It looks like the plastic bumper flexed and the front edge of the applique popped up.

Can you do body work, bondo, filler, etc, on plastic bumpers? Or if painting won't fix the damage, do you have to buy a new or used part?

I really don't have experience in body work. I buffed out a lot of the white scratches but its still a friggin eye sore. The good news is that the plastic is not cracked. I have been pricing out different auto body shops and I am looking at between 150-460

The lower price, the guys process seemed half @ssed. He said he would not remove the bumper/tape off/ paint. That doesn't seem right to me.

I found a dude, who said he would have to remove the bumper applique, and the bumper itself, paint, re-install, blend. this seems reasonable to me.

Well see, should be fixed by the end of next week.

if there is no major damange like deep gouges or dents then yeah he probibly could fix it with a patch job, do realize that even a someone very good at mixing paint may still have a slight differnce especially with these mettallic flake paints.

yes you can bondo on plastic, infact lightlly sculff/sanded plastic bonds bondo better then metal.

Sorry to see that man. When my xB had like 400 miles on it, I parked it in manhattan, and when I woke up in the morning to go pick it up, someone had hit the passenger side front fender - right next to the hood. Now there is a 2" by 3" dent there.

I was so ____ed when I saw it. I only had 400 facking miles on the car and it was already devirginized!!! =(

I feel your pain.

That's some old BS right there. I hate low life people that do stuff like that. Sorry that happened to you.
