how can i make the FOG Light Signal.?!?
sup guys!
i was just wondering if any of you guys know how to make the FOG Light Signal.
with the Signal Light? without the fog light bulb since it's a strong and high voltage.
Any mods that any of you make think of?
has this been done already?

Didn't mean to seem rude with the PM statement.
First most important question for me is: Which I asked in the PM. Are you sure this is what you want?
Why that question, you ask? I don't like spending time helping with what I can, only to find out that actually what someone wants is the fogs to blink & also act as regular fog lights, & also light when running lights would normally be on, and they don't want them blinking the same time as the front blingers, but opposite (one ON /one OFF . All do-able, but each step more involved. More time. I have plenty of time to help, no time to waste.
I enjoy helping where I can, but as I have told my supervisor, when he commented about all the questions I ask when a job is given to me! I don't have a prayer of giving him what he wants if I don't know what that is. Applicable here.
Have a nice day, and enjoy the BOX.

PM me if you are really interested in doing that.. I would have some more questions, and I don't want to go off topic. I think it is called "thread jacking".

koalaty, if you have ideas, post em up. If you keep it in PM it doesn't benefit the community.
It isn't threadjacking if it's answering the question that was asked in the topic... talking about beef burritos would be threadjacking.

My PM's were not meant to help EAmon. I just had further questions and concerns. And I couldn't help EAmon.
Meanwhile, JDMxbB has either had his question answered, by someone, or they are not sure what they really want. Detailed answers take time, and I don't like wasting my time unless I have full information on what is being asked. I have not had details provided, so I can't provide an answer I feel comfortable with. Sorry

u dont need detailed answers. he asked how to do something, all u have to do is answer. we dont need answers that take up a whole page and take hours to read. just say what wires go where and what not. it cant be that complacated to make a fog light a turn signal.

just give 'em the answer they wanna hear if they get busted for any reason you don't get the blame for the mistake they did

I am sorry, but I do feel accountable if I give out wrong information. If that is all some people needed, (EAmon), then your first very concise and brief answer probably answered the posters question. As you stated,"It's just simple wiring". And that is why he has not posted again.
When dealing with my car, or someone elses, I have to give detailed answers, thats who I am and what I do. That is why PM's work best for me. Those I have assisted in the past, have all been through PM's. If they choose to post my answer, it is fine with me. But, since I never know with what knowledge a person comes to the table with, I would rather give too much information, than not enough, and have something happen to their car. Some poeple take that as I am talking down to them. Not the case. I need to know the knowledge level of the person that I am dealing with. I can give clear instructions, then, based on what that person is familiar with. I don'w wish to confuse them more. Posting a question on a forum such as this, is not easy for some people, so again, PM,s work well.
Sorry about the long answer again. Happy BOXing.

JDMxbB, EAmon, and burstaneurysm, the modification being discussed here has the potential to be a lot nastier than simply moving the turn signal ground to the fog lamp.
First off, the fog lamp housing needs a few potential changes to take a totally different bulb - the electronics in the flasher and the wiring harness itself are unlikely to be happy trying to support a 55 plus watt load.
Just that modification can be more than many folks would (or should) tackle.
Once the load in the fog lamp housing is under control, only then can one start making wiring changes or additions, and as koalaty2 says, without asking detailed questions so that he knows exactly what is wanted there is no way to give the right instructions. (For example, as they stated here JDMxbB and EAmon want totally different results.)
As to feeling responsible for the information and instructions one gives, I fully agree with koalaty2.
That is the only responsible way to behave, especially with a mod that could cause so much trouble for someone else's car (and may actually be unlawful, too).
So, don't get on koalaty2 for not wanting to give some casual answer that can cause damage. If one is asking how to do something like this instead of just doing it, the one potentially offering help has to be certain that he is understands what is wanted and that the other end understands the work to be done.
Without that, a quick answer is just irresponsible.
So. This one is over - and locked.
