I want to replace my OE exhaust tip with an aftermarket one and the instructions told me to remove the OE exhaust tip. My XB came with a chrome tip, that is the first sleeve. The second sleeve is about 2-3 inches back. Which sleeve do I remove?

The direct fit aftermarket, the one I want to put on exhaust tip has these measurements. 8 inches long, 2.25 inches inlet and the outlet is 4 inches. For refrence, the fit is like the Valor exhaust tip.

Usually from what i seen on aftermarket tips are:
1. The new tip gets placed over the old tip, like a cover and has a screws/bolts to tighten to hold it on. I have fatter Chrome one like this on my van.

2. You may choose a aftermarket tip on new muffler at some muffler shops
+ they weld on the new tip.
