Default JDM body kit fitment issues

I am getting ready to order the spirits advangaurd kit from Japan and an a little concerned with fitment issues.I am more than capable of doing modification(i.e sectioning, gap fitment ect.) But for $1600 i would hope it to be minimal.I have heard that JDM BB's are about 2 inches narrower?I have also heard that the bumper supports are smaller, thus needing to trim or get rid of all together the U.S. support.A knowledgable reply from somone with a true JDM kit like the Fabulos or the Spirits would be greatly appriciated.

It should be fine. As long as it is not for the xB with the license plate frame in the bumper.

I've also heard of stories that the bB is narrower then the xB but I've found this is not true. I've ordered many JDM body parts for my xB and have not had any problems at all other then the headlights. Keep in mind that aftermarket parts such as body kits made of fiberglass tend to shrink a little but 2", I think not. Yes, there maybe some changes in a USDM model from a JDM model but that's normal. But, as for the bB being narrowier the the xB, I find it false.

Good Luck!

AS long as the body kit you order is for a Version 2 bB, you'll be fine. In regards to a body kit being short 2 inches, try more like an inch. Why? Because its a Version 1 bB body kit being fitted to a Version 2. Version 1 has the short bumpers.

Brad is right. Let me also say that kits from either generation will fit. However, 1st gen bB kits require that the USDM 5mph bumper reinforcement bars (both front an rear) be removed.

BTW... the Noblesse kit is on!

Re: Spirits Kit

Make sure you have your suspension dialed. Since the Spirits kit is a VIP kit, it was made with air suspension in mind so naturally, it extends significantly lower than stock. That's also why it's touching the ground when parked in most pics. You are guarenteed to scrape if you are running the typical 2" lowering springs.

Peace,
