JDM Hatch or not?

JDM Hatch or not?
Hey everyone I'm a future xB owner and I am curious as to where i can find a jdm hatch the doesnt haqve the license play mount in it. I love the look of the rear license plate being mounted on the rear bumber instead of the hatch. If you can help me out that be great and if you can find a carbon fiber hatch with out the rear license plate mount that would be even better ;)

The bB hatch is somewhat pricey to ship from Japan, due to its size.
Also, the bBs had/have clear glass and you will need to put in the US OEM rear glass.
A cheaper more readily available option would be to fill the hatch and add a popper.
Ft. Campbell, eh? 11B?

i agree with squirrel, it will be cheaper by far to modify the US hatch you have rather than bring in one from japan. likely get it done faster too..
i didn't know about the size difference, so that's an important factor too

ok.. now I THOUGHT I knew most of what there was to know about JDM/USDM bB/xb and what the differences were in the NCP30 and 31 -- but I sure have never heard anything about the NCP30 hatch being more narrow than a NCP31 hatch.
Where did you learn of this as being FACT and if it can be verified that it's not as wide side to side, as the later version, WHY is it not as wide. Toyota never changed the main body shell - so therefor why would the hatch WIDTH be different.
LENGTH? Maybe. That could be compensated for by differing bumper sizes. But WIDTH, I just have to see proof of that.

I agree w/ windowtint. The main difference between the early version bB and lthe late version bB were in the bumpers and bumper covers themsleves. Thus the fitment issues w/ different body kits.
Now if a Fab wing or even the Spirits wing fits either version of the bB, then the hatches ARE NOT different then. Because either wing fits the xB w/ no problems at all.
I know of where one bB hatch is sitting right now. I'll have to get in touch w/ its owner some how. I'll ask the owner to take some pics and provide me w/ some measurements. I doubt they are different.
SLOWboostin, do you have pics and measurements to verify this?

Well, there are not different at all, with some twicking it does fit pretty good, but there are two version of locks. here a picture of the one we are putting on a project car, It does make the car look sad and we kinda didn't like it so it might be for sale pretty soon !! JDMP

Yeah, and? Just kidding.
Ok, so now I know where there are least three bB hatches in CA.
One was on an actual bB at Exposed in Feb04 at El Toro.
