Whoa Jason, calm down bro....no need to get heated over it. This a forum and not everyone has to agree or be supportive. That's what I love about this place. I don't need people to be on my nuts about everything then it wouldn't we wouldn't progress as a group.

Love or hate.....it all motivates us to be better.

BTW Props D on the crazy mod. Personally not my thing but a great move if I wanted to place at the shows. And the best part is they gave you partial sponsorship so you didn't have to drop full pop on it.

The leader is good,
the leader is great.
We surrender our will,
as of this day.

Your opinion, like they have said on here, it is a show car, practicaltiy is not a catagory with show cars...otherwise a trunk mounted flat screen tv would come stock from the factory, and also, look who you are talking to, he is the Prez of TSW, you are a Noob trying to bag on all the people you can....

Definitely a sick mod, Darrell! A couple of ideas for people who can't leave well enough alone:
-Suicide rear doors with the handles relocated, like the 60's Lincoln Continentals...
-Cut the rear hatch in half so the glass swings up and there's a tailgate that drops so you have somewhere to sit!
-Forward-tilt hood (or one piece front clip!) like the old 3-series BMWs
and, saving the best for last...
Chopped and sectioned- maybe even a canvas Carson top!!!

There's a list of stuff that hasn't (as far as I know) been done... get to it!

Is there a way to get the doors to swing up by a remote button i.e. like a button on the alarm remote?

ya you can, it takes either a linear actuator or a 700 pound shock along with a door popper. The problem with the actuator is its too damn slow. The problem with a 700 pound shock on a 40 pound door is that, yes it will go up by itself but trying to pull it down to close it will be nearly impossible. Hehe

To be the first one always has its perils.

Sometimes people love to hate innovation.

Props to you for something different.

After building 3 show cars, I know your angle on why you did this. there will always be people who love it, and some who hate it. Please keep us updated!

ok ... gotta put in my 2 cents ....

on the mod: PROPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

on hateing: i have taken so much crap on my cardomain site that i almost pulled it! the way i see it, if someone has the guts and love for a car to make it their own then by rights ya gotta give props .... i have seen so many cars that i though "what in the hell were they thinking" but had to give props cuz they CARED enough about their car to make it their own. in my mind thats the difference between a car lover and some rich preppy mo'fo who doesn't deserve what they drive ... love of all cars and respect for those who own them ....

once again, props on the doors ... that's just plain SIK!

props on the mod but like you said its not for everyone id rather stick with the standard opening doors from the pics it seems like its kind of hard to get in but the thing i dont get is alot of yall critize people with hondas or as yall like to call them "ricers" for doing stuff like this but yall dont give them props just critize them but when a fellow scion owner does it its props galore dont get me wrong im not hating just wondering why if people take this the wrong way and start to talk smack then so be it i could careless but just wanted to know why yall like to critize "ricers"
