-Forward-tilt hood (or one piece front clip!) like the old 3-series BMWs
and, saving the best for last...
Chopped and sectioned- maybe even a canvas Carson top!!!

There's a list of stuff that hasn't (as far as I know) been done... get to it!

-Phil and Vicki
cool ideas!

Suicide rear doors would requre some very stout hinges, as the hinge line would be shortened by the rear wheel well.

Cutting the hatch in half is cool too, and there is lots of room for the hinges there.

The above two ideas would bring cries of "Why didn't you just buy an Element?"

Tilt hood would be easy. The front end is almost one-piece as it is. This would be a good reason to invest in that ultra-light carbon fiber hood and fenders!

Chopped and sectioned? Kewl, but it would destroy the best features of the box!

This looks neat! Do you have a picture of it with the door all the way open?

It can open a little bit more but not much. I will have more pics after the fender is done.

Yow! Jenny Craig time! Still looks cool, though.

On the topic of gull wing doors, what would be really nice, since we are blue-skying, would be gull wings that fold inward at the bottom of the window as they open. doing that while retaining the roll-up windows would be a feat, though!

Mad props to Darrell!!! I love it!! I think that it looks so wicked, like who would ever expect to see you open your door like "Back to the Future"!! I think that if I didn't own one of these and saw you get out of your car I would crap myself!!

And who ever made the comment that he got these because he is President is a bunch of ____!! He got these because he has worked his ___ off to figure out how to do it and because he has love for his car. He will impress the judges BIG time with these, that's the whole freakin point!!!

I like the way it looks. It's definately fun to see people faces when I park and get out of the car...hehe. Just alot of work yet to do, still working on the fenders. Once thats done the original plan was for suicide doors in the rear but I think that might change.

Not my taste, but it looks alright. I think these "wings" or whatever you want to call it look better on a 2 door. Thats my opinion.
