luminics=fried wiring harness??
So I've been hearing a lot about luminics bulbs toasting stock headlight wiring in various types of cars latetly. Has anyone ran into this problem? Also, I'm thinking that it might not be just confined to luminics bulbs, but to any aftermarket bulb that runs 5000+ kelvins. Could just be to much for stock wiring. What's your opinion/stories on high kelvin bulbs?

it's not so much the kelvin rating more then the wattage the bulb is drawing (typically generic bulbs run at 85w vs. the stock vehicles that typically run 55w). save yourself the headache and grab a set of good bulbs.

not to branch off topic but I dont wanna start a new thread about this.
I switched to 9003 silverstars in my xb and people bright me all the time, like I have my brights on. Will it get me pulled over or something?

the harness frying has been happening to a lot of tC owners. I have the Pure Blue's on my xB and no problems at all. Our stnadard H4 bulb is rated at 60/55, so are the Luminics H4's. The tC's stock bulb is I believe 51/55, could be wrong. The Luminics bulbs for the tC are 55/60, again i could be slightly off both ratings but those 3 watts are frying those harnesses. The dealership i go to told me to get a bulb with exactly the same wattage, any higher and it will fry the harness and will not be warrantied. So since u have an xB, you should be good 2 go.
