i'm serious when i say paint the things instead of driving around with unpainted carbon fiber. IMO, it's just like driving around with primered parts.

 

I likey. I would rethink the dots graphic, perhaps something to help pull the hood and fenders into the rest of the ride...

well, carbon fibre is light, so people use it to save weight. some people with unpainted carbon fibre have told me they didn't paint it to save weight...paint weighs maybe 2 or 3 pounds if that. i don't even mind partially painted carbon fibre with places showing, but solid carbon fibre against solid paint......looks unfinished, IMO.

paint it all but a big "xB" in the middle and have that showing

Sorry,but I call "Bravo Sierra" on it's only for weight savings. I bet if you weighed the stocker against the CF one, the weight savings would be negligible,if at all! The CF is lighter than aluminum to begin with but once you add up the epoxy/resins to finish the piece to a good quality product, that has a nice deep finish to it, your right back up there in weight.

Exposed CF is for the Bling Factor it generates along with maybe some weight savings...it depends what kind of stock part your replacing it with. IMHO
