I have searched this site for an answer to this question, but havent found anything
I am thinking about having my emblems gold plated. I think it would look killer on the Envy Green, I have searched all over the net for gold plated emblems for scions and cannot find any, so I was going to take them off and have them plated, I have emailed a couple places I found on the net and have not gotten any responses as of yet.

Best I have found so far are kits you can buy to do your own gold electroplating

Has anyone done any gold plating on thier emblems?, can it be done? Any suggestions on where to have it done, maybe a mail order deal, or where else I should be looking for this

I dont really want to go the gold paint/clear coat route, I think that would look goofy

Any suggestions or info would be helpful

The emblems are plastic, so electroplating is out.

Hey dude, if you find anyone who plates plastic be sure to post it. Chrome or Gold. I know on some plastic grilles from the factory they are chromed like on my camry. So there MUST be someone out there who knows how to do it.
But I have no idea how they do it or who else can do it. If you find out please post.

Hey Cheffie, I remember someone from Godfather's Customs in Decatur doing this back in like 99 or 2000. It was with ENAMEL. I think BoxRod's paint guy can do that for you-- give him a PM on the Scinergy forum.

same process that they use for scale model chrome pieces and its fairly inexpensive...

I wish i had a 3.0 with gold emblems and chrome/gold rims and gold trim inside - that would look awesome...
