New here...didn't know where else to put this...
So I didn't see a Gen Discussion forum so I just threw this in here...
Hi, I'm new. Lol. I actually set this up for my wifes xB, I drive a 6th Gen Celica. Since it's hard enough to find anything for this car where I am I figured it'd be a good idea to find people who would know. Enough talk, here's some pics!
xB:
My Celica:
Her xB is stock but she loves it. It is a great car for driving in the town we're in b/c it's soo easy to park and whatnot. Not to mention the gas mileage it gets..especially since it's about $9.00/gallon equivalent over here.
Thanks for taking the time!

$9 per gallon! Wow. We are near $3.30/gal regular now and appreciate the MPG of the xB. Man, $90 equivalent to fill up your tank? I feel for you!
Nice Toyotas. I like your plates, they fit the area much better than our US ones and look really cool. What are those little bumps by the foglight knockouts? Ours don't have them.

Oh yeah sorry I should've explained that! The black is electrical tape (yeah, I know) but it's required by law b/c the lights are US Spec which means they go ascend to the right (in the UK, the right is the other side of the road as apposed to the left) therefore creating a straight beam of light as to not bling oncoming traffic! (My Celica doesn't have the tape b/c I installed JDM/Euro Projectors which are meant for RHD cars so I don't need them)
The little baby LEDs are on the grill, awesomely superglued by intelligent English mechanics, b/c again, by law, there has to be a certain amount of space between the headlights and the ground and since it doesn't already have fogs there you go...they look pretty stupid...also you can't see it but one of the reverse lights have been converted into a rear fog (same as the Celica). Not that we ever use that damn thing but yet again, by law.
Not to mention when we got here we had to pay for MOT which is basically to make sure your car is road worthy. You wouldn't believe it, but there aren't any beaters over here! Of course, we paid about $2k in MOT bills which is rediculous; not to mention car tax.

It's not, I'm working here and my wife brought it over. It'd make sense to sell here but they don't yet. The closest thing is the Nissan Cube which is horribly ugly!
I'm from Baltimore btw.

You can buy headlights for a Toyota bB (the japanese version of Scion xB) that will bolt directly in and if they are from RHD bB they will shine the right direction.
They sell them on ebay from Japan-they are cool too because they have the corner lights cleared already (no amber reflector).
I thin the wiring plug is exactly the same too-but I have read somewhere that someone had to rewire a few of the wires into the plug????

Yeah it's funny, they've said it looks like the Postman Pat vehicle (which it doesn't, it's the mail carrier truck that doesn't look anything like it) or a smaller version of the Range Rover which of course is a popular vehicle over here. It definitely gets loads of attention and heads turned when we drive around and whatnot. Since I'm having issues with the Celica we pretty much drive that constantly.
