Default is the OEM spoiler best for...?

Ok we all know spoilers are basically just pretty pieces on our cars. But i want to know which spoiler will help keep the back of the car clean.

For some reason, I get insane build up of dirt all over the rear window, hatch, and bumper. The only thing i can think of is, the negative pressure (vaccuum) is causing all the dust to gather right behind the car. Would the OEM style spoiler help? or would another style be better?

I know spoilers are supposed to disturb the airflow to negate some of the the effects of the vaccuum. I've also heard that the oem spoiler channels some air downward over the back, which may help keep the hatch clean.

Anyhow people with spoilers weigh in on this... I'm tired of washing/dusting off the car

edit: cleaned up some typos

trust me, spolier or not - the back of the car gets filthy if you don't wash it.

the back gets dirty not one day after I wash it here... must be the air or something... even if i wax it... dust just clings... and not the dust you can wipe off with a duster.. the stuck on kind of dust.

I'm just wondering if it'll help any to have the OEM spoiler... I'm not much for looks at this point just sheer utility (looks will come when I have enough money to waste on it).

edit: typos

in my experience, the OEM spoiler doesn't work.

seems to me, the more you lengthen the rear sides or top of the car, and dont actuallty lengthen the whole car. the more dust you would gather! i mean wouldn't it make the "vaccuum" bigger???

well atleast thats what it adds up to be to me.

I think the only thing the rear wind deflector does is add wind noise.

I don't think the shopping cart handle (OEM spoiler) really provides any downward wind. To get some force like you're wanting, you'd need something to channel the air down which means more drag and probably more wind noise.

The fabulous style spoiler definitely adds to the dirt buildup on the back. But it is the rainy season now too. Another month or so and we should have dry weather for about 9 months. I can't wait. Seeing my Box all dirty has been KILLING me!
