I thought that too but if you see the edge is smooth all the way to the mount and then the mount is painted white as well.

its my stock mirror with a carbon fiber mirror cover i bought from scionport.com. cut it down then used fiberglass repair kit, last used bondo to get that smooth look. I got pics. and will post them soon.

led mirror

heres an image of how much i trimmed off the cover.

as u can see the mirror will be fully functional. Folds with no problem.

Awesome job. I've been looking for a way to do that to mine. Did you happen to be in Anaheim on Wed evening on Brookhurst and Broadway? I saw a PW with these lights turning left but couldn't follow.

anybody know where to get non-led carbon fiber mirror covers, i want the carbon fiber look but i dont feel like tapping into wires for the led (getting lazy after doing so much stuff on it already)
