Pics of Fiber Images red/black hood installed
You don't need to run pins with Fiber Image hoods. We've been selling them for over two years with no problems. I just put one on my Hot Lava and it went perfect. Looks awesome with the orange. I went with the regular weave color. pm me if anyone has any questions on one. Soon as I find the memory stick for my camera I'll get some pics up
Probably have to buy a new one....
I would highly recommend running hood pics with ANY composite hood, even if it's not constructed of two halves epoxied together. The latch assembly is still a component that can always separate from the hood structure if you're unlucky. I've had several friends have their cf hoods-both low quality, and high quality ones-pop open at freeway speeds and break their windshields and dent their roofs. It's cheap insurance to run pins, and unless Fiber Images offers a full compensation guarantee to pay for the cost of repairs incurred from a *possible* failure, it's still not worth dealing with the headaches of having to try and get reimbursement for repairs to your car... of if you're really unlucky, you won't have to worry about any of that because you won't be around anymore...
:D Thanks for the compliments djimpak! I'm trying! Those are the JDM headlights that are on the car. Look at the new registry pics, I just put on the JDM fog lights too! You can tell they are the JDM cuz they are clear and the U.S. ones have that smoke tint on it! westsype, let me know if you want them! :D

i've owned Fiber Image hoods on several vehicles including my race car. I've been upwards of roughly 165mph indicated with it on an allmotor integra. They're constuction is cf and fiberglass. the structural supports are fiberglass and i don't know of one instance where a Fiber image hood has seperated. Is it a good idea to have hood pins? sure..is it necessary? No
150mph

I eventually put them(pins) in for aerodynamics purposes(at high speeds you may see a little lift on one side

if you want detailed photos of thier construction i believe i have those photos as well.
keep in mind...what are we doing? 80mph in our xB's?
It is a dead ringer for the Black Cherry!! :D I've been up to 95 and no shaking of the hood. I guess it's up to the person, I trust Fiber Images quality to not come apart so that's why no pins. It's kinda like if you are sick, do you trust your doctor or not?!? If you let the doctor treat you, think about this. read their license on the wall. It says they are allowed to PRACTICE medicine on you! That's alot scarier than no pins! :D
