pics of my hubcaps and lights
here are some pics of my color matched hubcaps and painted tail lights. Color is shadow mica. Lights are just anadized red paint on the inside. The tail ligths a super easy to get apart. I just took them out on a 90 degree day, used 2 small scre drivers and POP, they where apart, no cutting or anything. It probally took 45 min to do each tail light. I like how they turned out. Most everyone thinks they are stock

i was thinking of doing the same thing this weekend. how hard is it to pull the scion emblems off of the hubcaps? also, did you sand the hubbies prior to painting or just lay it on? what about using primer first? they look great man.
just break the tabs off the back of the emblems and they fall out, i just glued them back. I wish i would have used primer caus ei got a lil bit of cracking in the paint, but i did use real car paint, not just black, thats actually shadow mica paint. I would maybe hit with some scotch brite, then some degreser, then primer, then paint, then clear. make sure its not humid, i did it when i was trying to rain, and the clear blushed (got milky) and i had to re paint them
That is a clean looking xB my friend!
Yeah, you dont have to break the tabs on the hubcap emblems, i just popped em out with a screw driver on mine... but o well, it looks great! Kinda cool that you used factory paint, i just used plastic spray paint
