Default Pinstripe Across the Glass

I just tried out something that a friend of mine thought of and I am trying to decide if I should take it off or keep it.

What I did was put a double pinstripe allong the lower edge of my back glass. the color matches the solar yellow paint almost exactly. If I decide that I like it I am also going to put this along the edge of the band of tint I am having installed on my front windshield.

What do you think.

Thanks for the input.

Subtle, but good. I approve!

Like that means anything though...

Personally, I don't like it. It looks like exactly what you did. You picked up some "striping tape" in yellow from your local auto parts store came home and laid it across your back window. To me there is no thought to flow or styling involved. There is no continuity.

But, just as Grizzly said...

That is my opinion, and it should hold no weight as to what you do with YOUR car.

I like it. Did you get your front window tint cut flat or is it the usual curve?

I say do it on the front if its flat, otherwise leave it off, no need showing off that curve (which I hate, btw)

I haven't had the band done yet but I am going to tell them I want it cut so that when looking at the front of the car it will look straight. I think that is what you are calling flat.

You got it. The curved is too amateur-looking.

This is straight, although I do realize I was not at the center of the car and I was at a lower level than anyone looking at the car is going to be:

The window tint works being "straight" However if he made the pinstrip tape absolutely straight it wouldn't look correct I don't think being that inbetween the black window and black stripe would be a line of yellow that would not be uniform. The ends would be thicker than the middle and look off to me.

On mine the sides are not thicker than the center. Uniform thickness across.

I like the yellow stripe across the back window. I would do the same, but TCM wouldn't show much on a dark window.
