Default Problem with Spoiler install

I purchased an aftermarket spoiler (oem style) in Carbon Fiber for my xB. It came with no instructions or mounting hardware. Now, I know how to install it, so instructions weren't an issue, however, the parts I need are only available through the dealership, I believe. My question (and yes, I searched) is this:

What can I use to take the place of the rubber Well-nut inserts that are used to screw the top bolt's in from the top?

I cannot find them at any auto-parts supply store. Any ideas? What are alot of you guys using to install the factory style spoiler? I know it can be held with Automotive tape alone, but I want a little more reinforcement than that. Please help!!!

drill holes and use sheetmetal screws just make sure you use silicone in the holes so as not to have rust issues

You can purchase the Well Nuts at HomeDepot on the specialty Hardwares sliding racks. I got some while back.

3M. My OEM is done that way, works perfect!

Make sure you get the RED kind.

Dwatts5250 how did you end up installing yours? I recently got a carbon fiber spoiler too and it came with no instructions or templates as well. It sounds like yours is like mine where the 2 bolt holes are on the rear hatch (back not from the top down). I am real nervous about drilling into the back hatch above the window. Any advice.

to be on the safe side, I would install it properly. If it requires drilling, just do that to be on the safe side. I had the OEM c/f style spoiler and the So Cal heat made the tape come off and lift at the roof top.

Thanks Dan aka DWATTS for draggin me into this. lol.

That is what I plan on doing. The sad thing is the spoiler came with no instructions.... I called the MFG and they said sorry we dont have any templates or instructions etc etc. I will keep on looking until I can come up with a sound plan.

Thanks for your response!

i reinstalled my OEM...i had the heat make the tape loose....

I was told if you want it permanently on there....Panel bonding sealant...like they use at body shops. scuff the spoiler, scuff the liftgate. put the panel bonding on there. U can have the whole F.A.T.S. crew nag off it, wont vener come off.
My next project.
