Default Problems with re-sealing

I use the bake-it method to reseal my foglights. So far so good, but some how I got some of the silicone on my lense! I'm not sure how to get it off. I tried to use a product called 'lift off' which really sucks. Instead of taking the silicone off, it just spread it over a wider area making it look horrible. Some others told me to use denatured alcohol.

Anyone else had this problem? How did you fix it! Any help is appreciated fellas

get the strongest solvent you can stand to smell... it'll come off with a little elbow grease.

diesel gas, if you can get a little bit of that on a rag and rub it, the silicone will come right off

diesil gas, starter fluid, brakeclean, etc...
denatured alc may not be strong enough, trupentine may do it... start with what you have handy... if a couple rubs doesn't start to take it off, go with something stronger..

Anything I should stay away from that might mess up the lense?

You should be able to take a razor blade to it. Otherwise Goof-Off or Goo-Gone will work, you just have to you a clean rag continuously.
