PTAP's Project Scion Shaved and Laid!
Link duznt work, sez I have to be the owner.
As for PTAP's Scion they have tons of resources, they actually closed their shop for the next three weeks to bang their Scion out. Frankly we are super jealous because we were bucking for a spot on the cover of a truck mag...but it looks like PTAP is going to beat us to it by about 2 weeks. Oh well, that's life. As a bonus though, it is neat to watch someone go all out on a Scion, it kind of paves the way for other people to modify them. We are trying to get them to tell us what stock parts they used for the brakes but he is making us wait until he gets some of his back ordered parts from us...bastard! lol I am just kidding.
I will keep posting the new pics when he sends them our way.

Phil and I recieved an update from the guys at PTAP/Autowerks...they sent us 5 more pictures of their Project Scion. All I can say is DAMN, this thing is going to be off the hook. Anyways, take a look for yourself, and if you are interested in seeing what the interior looks like gutted there is a picture of that also.
I just added them so it might take up to 30 minutes to update, but hey it is past 1:30 so I am sure there aren't very many people checking the boards right now ; )

I just checked to see if the pictures added ok, and all is good. However, I just noticed that they relocated the gas filler to the rear hatch area. http://community.webshots.com/photo/...01869704eLvnDG I am really going to want to see this thing when they are done, I hope that doesn't mean a road trip to Georgia.

I just added 4 more pictures to the Project Scion folder in our Webshots album. They should be available in 30 minutes. This vehicle is going to rock, and at least we can say that we were the first two tone paint job...seeing as how they are going to beat us into a magazine.

How are they painting the interior peices?
Are they using a plastic flex additive to get the paint to stick, or just shoot'n em w/primer?
I was going to do my interior and wasnt sure how I was going to
1.) make the paint stick to the dashboard and door panels.
2.) make them as smooth as glass.
At the bodyshop I work @ we use a particular primer that is actually applied by rollers on cars. It helps to fill sanding scratches and textured surfaces. It works really good on those whos cars get keyed, this stuff soaks right into the crevice and lays down thick. I was thinking of using this to smooth out the whole dash and door panels. Definatley a heavy solids primer that cuts the prep time down quite a bit while confident that the paint lays down nice and smooth.

Specific flaming post to Ghost:
Not to be rude, or drop myself to your level, but...
I guess it shows that we can't fabricate, since our parts are on many, if not most, of the cover and feature trucks you see in Minitruckin' and StreetTrucks magazine every month. That's probably also the reason that other metal shops like Alter Images aren't in business anymore- because we can't fabricate and they can.
I searched for posts under your name, but all I found was a pic of a really nice new beetle with vinyl graphics... woah!
We provided some of the parts for PTAP's Scion, and they took the ball from there. We're proud to have been a part of that project, as well as the other full custom jobs that have used our parts through the past six years that we've been in business.
I'm not here to trash anyone else's parts or skills, but you obviously have more time than I do...
Maybe your mother forgot to teach you this lesson, so I'll do it for you:
If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.
