I got an over the phone quote of $300 - $350 to paint and install the spy engineering fender flares. Does this sound reasonable? The name of the shop is A & A Autobody in Van Nuys. They were recommended to me, but have no frame of reference for the price.

 

are these going to be molded in or just mounted? will there be something put between the fender flare and the car to cover any gaps?

 

They will not be molded on. I was quoted $1500 for this painting. Too expensive for a little eyebrow flair. They will be bolted. They might need some sort of rubber molding. I've called the company (Spy Engineering) about a million times asking about info on a mounting kit, but they have yet to give me an answer. You would think that since they designed the things that they would not need to call someone about this procedure. Especially when I ordered them they said that most people just bolted them on with a kit. Oh well. Any suggestions about install in the LA area would be appreciated. Thanks.
