In a word, PULL. You can even get over cautious and get a steering whell puller if you are nervous, but I just pulled mine off.

OR

You can look in the tech section.....most DIY's are alread covered.

OR

You could use the search button......

sometimes it is kind of stuck on at an angle. Move the wiper to its out position and push the side of the wiper base so it parrallel to the car and then remove. I hope that make since.

I know the search button, I have been a part of scion life longer than most, usually in the tech section they would have this covered, but its not. So I would guess if the mods of scionlife saw a good tech thread on doing this they would add it to the tech sections which its not, the only one in there is how to make it stick straight up. But nothing about how to get the thing off. Thanks to all that responded ,I thought that was probably the answer(just yanking on it) but I just did not want to pust something or bend the hatch, yanking it out.

You gotta go behind the hatch and get it from the other side, just popping off the cap and unscrewing the bolt isnt gonna get it off...

Here: https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=99618

That gives you the basic idea of what to do.

This is the thread I was talking about before, you don't have to remove the actuall arm to do this mod its all done from the motor side.. I want to remove it, he never touched the arm except to move it straight up.

pop off the cap, undo the 10mm nut, PULL OFF THE WIPER.

This should take you 15 seconds.

yeah, tried that, I guess I will have to devise something to loosen it after the nut is off because it does not just pop off, Someone earlier said wd40.

seriously, all you need to do is grab both ends and puill straight out. there shouldn't be too much grime or rust on it, it just takes some effort.
