Does anyone know if the RS2 mirror covers are glued, screwed or taped on the RS2? This is the Factory Option I'm speaking of,
and does not apply to any aftermarket mirror covers. (I am aware that those are taped)

I got some mirrors from an RS2, and want to pull the covers off for paint and install.

Alternatively, does anyone know how to remove the mirror from the housing? If I can do this successfully, I will just paint the whole unit.

they are double sided tape last i checked?

try search RS2 mirrior covers or something of that nature. their was a thread on it. but probably a long time ago

 

Double stick tape. I waited for a warm day,slowly ran a butter knife between the cover and housing to loosen some of the tape,then pulled the covers off.

was the rs2 the only one to come out with the turn signal mirrors? where can I get a set?

 

you could always tape them off thats what i did with a set and it worked great!
