Default Replace or "fix" damaged front fender advice

Some idiot side-swiped me on Thursday - while my box was parked in my driveway! Nothing major, but it's my first damage in 22 years of driving, and it hurts.

The (rear of the?) drivers side fender was dented, and a thin white scrape shows along both front and rear doors, inches below the window line. It's obvious that a (white) delivery truck\van backed in or pulled out, hit me, and ran. Infuriating.

My question is this: Do I replace or repair what was damaged? My deductible is $500, but I've seen replacement parts as cheap as $75 online. I did some searching and found several options, including a no-paint-dent-fix thing. I'm almost tempted to do nothing, since I'm a DIY moron, so I can't do the repair myself.

I don't mind paying for the fix, but I don't want to get ripped. Any recommendations would be helpful. Thanks to all that respond. Man, am I sad.

You should post a pic of the damage so that we can help you decide what you should do.

I work as a collision tech, and judging from the pictures, you should have the fender replace and both doors repaired/painted.

Thats what we would do at my shop anyway.

Sure you can get the part for $75, but it'll cost a couple hundred to have it painted. I'd take it to the auto body shop for an estimate. If the labor is a lot to replace the fender, I'd do it myself (maybe they would even order it for you) then have them paint and fix the doors.
