Thank you,,,Guess I may as well forget the idea of running boards!
I am sorts shy on the lowering aspect tho. It sits pretty low to the ground as it is.
Think I will stay with that fancy handy-dandy one of a kind $12.00 stool, pain as it may be.
LOL! Thanks guys,,,eddy

You could take the side skirt off and bolt something up; it wouldn't be that hard for a shop to do for you.

Running boards are not out of the question. Any good van conversion shop can do the fab for you. They could take existing boards and cut them to length, remove the lower body moulding and weld on the new boards. Shouldn't be any trick to it at all.

That Max2k ain't no dummy!

This is exactly what I have been thinking while reading this thread. Check out the Toyota 4Runner running boards or possibly some universal fit ones. Any trailer hitch or truck accessory shop in your area should be able to set something up for you.

Good luck!

haven't seen the skirt off, but i'm pretty sure the holes will not support 100 lbs weight to be used on running boards. But yeah theres a lot of possibility, its just a matter of fabricating the right brace that will bolt on the right hole where ever that may be.

Airbags. Seems like the best solution. They keep the car at a normal ride hieght, then you deflate them and the whole car will drop to the ground. Making it easy to get in. Once your wife is in. You just flipa a switch and it will come back up to normal ride height. Though the only thing is it may kinda pop back up. I am sure there is a way to bring it up slow.

look into auto steps for an rv or lifted trucks. They come out when the door is opened. The shop could modify the mount causing it to drop down and out .
