Ok further update. It turns out that I have a different spoiler than the on that is shown in the installation instructions. There are no caps that cover up the screws on mine on the outside. my spoiler is all one solid piece. Could there have been a design change fron 2004 -2006? Heres pix of mine.
It almost looks like they would have had to install it that way.

Not sure on that. Doesn't show a top pic of it. From the bottom it looks exact though. Right now it just appears to me in just gonna have a rust issue to make them fix, rather that you drilled where you shouldn't have etc etc. Either way, This spoiler should not be falling off at 9 months old and worse rust!

Oh yeah I know that, but i dont trust them either. If you drill holes though a car, you should either paint the area or rustproof it some how you would think. I have bare metal holes that now have some good surface rust on it. I am at 20,000 miles now on a 2006. What if I had not have discovered this until it was too late. I foot the bill for a new liftgate and paint when it rots to nothing. I am literally going to request to watch this repair just to make sure its done right. Also i do live 1 1/2 hrs from there so I do not want to return for anymore issues.

you should be able to take it to ANY dealership....
the best way to get back at them is a bad survey or call the customer relations manager at the dealer.. trust me they can't afford to get a bad survey......

They are the closest dealer to me. I am not going to do that stuff until they start getting out of line. I took it in today for oil change etc etc. Also on 2 warranty issues and also the rust. They gave me a rental and were very nice about it. They called later told me everything was done except the spoiler. They said they had to order my paint color and some body plugs to seal it up. So basically they are going to sand the rust off, probably hit it up with touchup paint, and put rubber plugs in the holes. Works for me as long as it stays attached to the car and doesn't rust. I go back Tues. They did inform me they do NOT install spoilers on any cars but the Tc. He also told me they never paint the bare metal, that is usually isn't needed. I'm shocked! Bare metal equals rust. I hope all of these other guys who bought Scions and had the spoiler added in the columbus ohio area catch that before the warranty is up!

i guess i am lucky that i live in the south east toyota area, where they install everything at the dealer and port...
good luck, tell them you want them to take pictures of the fix while its being done, so you have proof etc.. for warranty purposes..

I was stating that cause the dealers that he purchase sent it to someplace to have it put on and that this dealer only put spoilers on the tC.. geesh.... I am now looking into getting my mom a sienna, and pricing one out for her is hard.. it says only available in gulf state or south east regions.. she lives in seattle... soooooooo....
BUT GOOD LUCK ~ tat2dude25 ~~!

I dont think they totally suck! I dont trust them, but I have been screwed by businesses too many times. Out of 4 Scion dealers in Columbus they were the only ones who would give me a somewhat fair deal for my trade. I got $7,000 out of my car from them when the other dealers were offering $3,000. This was an 01' Celica with carbon blue paint (very rare). $3,000 is absurd for that car. The other dealers either had no stock or would NOT order one for me. They had a black cherry coming in with manual trans. just the exact color etc I wanted. I bought it before it ever came in. I just wish I had known they were gonna send the car to another place to do this so I could check out what they were doing. I was under the impression that they Toyota dealers were installing the spoiler themselves.
