Default the search here sucks....Rear window can it go down

Simple question that the search function thinks I want everything under the sun as a return result.

If its searchable please help me with a link

i don't have any links, but i could probably guess it would be totally custom, and a lot of work.

Or you could grab the internals out of an old Ford Bronco, they maybe easier to find in a junk yard. I would like to see some pics if you make this work, sounds sweet...

the search function works fine, I've never had a problem, maybe you aren't doing it right.

anyways, you would have to have the window com in & then slide down, but the major prolem is that the airflow of an xB comes right at the hatch & would come in thru the window. emmisions in the cab = very very bad or (X-P)

amazing...someone says the search is fine but can't produce anything but a crappy responce about how it works.

anyways.
I was thinking about actually using a suburban rear roller like listed abouve but i think it would have to pop in then roll down.
Or going VW Bus on it and just have a latch system so it can be locked down from the inside but able to be removed.

url if not working

you have a right to post your opinion, but this isn't helping, sorry if you feel like you have more experience in your 26 posts than someone that's been a Scion Owner & on this site for over 2 years, let alone a moderator, but that just isn't needed.

back to the topic, please...

if you were to make it removable it would have to be removed from the outside, because that is the way the glass mounts to the hatch. Otherwise it would all have to be redisgned to make the glass be on the inside. but this is all be sides the point of the fact that if your car is running with no rear window or a lowered rear window, you WILL get Carbon Monoxide in your passenger compartment. I under stand that the concept is very cool & would be great if this wasn't the fact.

I don't see the real need for it. It's bad enough to have the windows rolled down while driving. The work (read engineering) involved with such a mod would be very labor intensive and for what results? More noise, airflow and pollution to contaminate your interior. I just don't get it.

Your search wouldn't work because you are prolly the first one that asked that question. There is no history on that question so search no worky. LOL
Next time keep your nasty comments to yourself. Many people work very hard to make this site what it is. You'll come to love it as much as the rest of us do. Promise

I would like to see the rear side windows open like my Caravan windows. A powered
vent window would not add much weight and would improve the air flow in the box.

I think you misunderstood what the search does... It searches things that have been posted on this website, it doesn't try to answer your questions. Stop watching so much star trek.
The idea of the rear window going down would be pretty cool though.
