Default Should I two-tone the stock lip kit?

I had an aftermarket fiberglass lip that recently got eaten by a large dead animal in the road, so I had to go back to stock. Problem is, the stock lip is scratched and needs new paint. Since I'm repainting anyway, I've considered going with a silver lip to match the two-toned top. Would this look better or worse than now, I'll have to repaint either way. I do not want another aftermarket lip because even before the animal the fiber lip was scraping on some the entrances and has pulled the bumper with it at least twice.

Two tone with two tone lip (not my car)

Please ignore the duckbill rear wing, black rims or fender scoops, I don't know who's car this is and have no intention of doing that to mine. Only note the painted lip.

My vehicle currently (classic silver metallic over black sand pearl)

I actually like it....it would be most excellent if the first pic you posted carryed over the red outline to the bottom.

But your box looks like it has a "lakeside rake".....why is the rear so high?

Back is raised for a wheelchair ramp, I'll be making halfwheel covers ala old school caddie once it gets warmer. They would cover down to the rear and sideskirt lip top edge. Sorry for the big pic, I didn't have a 640x480. Floor is bamboo.

Damn it....Nice! Did you have to relocate the gas tank?

Personally, Id mount a stripper pole back there and find me some hotty thats 4'8" or so.....

Id love to see some pics of the wheel covers once they get installed.....wild man, keep up with those original ideas!

I say go for it! That lower lip painted the same as the top looks HOT! It's definitely different...

Though about doing a pole, but there isn't an easy way to do it so it looks good and not like it was swiped from a coat closet. '08 will be a fun year, I'm planning a lot more customization, not just going with premade.

See https://www.scionlife.com/forums/vie...083&highlight= for progress on my grill and speaker box.

yeah, the gas tank had to be shifted forward, down, and a new exhaust ran. I'm on 2 1/4" piping with a Flowmaster Hushpower II muffler that's made for lowriders because it's the only thing with clearance. Couldn't fit axle-back so it's mounted mid-body. Lake pipes will have to wait until next year.

Not feelin' the grill myself, but props for doing something unique....theres only so many billet grills one can look at before getting sick! On a side note, Id love to see a grill that has vertical lines rather than horozontal.

Yeah, the whole pole thing was a joke....Im mean really, where am I gonna find my girl that short?

Im sure you’ve seen the pics of the box that has a pole mounted to the hatch.....when open and simply "stands" on the ground.....looks cool but no value at all....it cant really be used. I saw your bamboo floors and my mind jumped right into strippers.....hmmmm....setting myself up there.

Thats some serious work there to get that tank moved! Keep it up!

Yeah, the floor extends out on the ramp now as well, trimmed with brushed aluminum. Next up are the front floor mats, want to bamboo them as well. I had drafted plans on the pole thing, put removable chocks on the ramp to make it sit level, put black curtain around it, VIP velvet ropes, and a flip down monitor for background video. Ultimately, the concept would be too expensive, clash with the style I'm going for, and probably be in poor taste at some of the more family events. I'm sticking with the Decepticon theme and silver / black scheme for now, and hoping to wrap the lower half with a Blackout and Starscream motif using the movie versions for more detailed imagery.

I'd also like to paint my wife's motorized chair silver / black, the panels are red fiberglass right now, would that get me extra points for display for the shows she goes to?

Any more votes? 3 is less than statistically needed for a decision on this. Maybe I'll buy a second stock set used and paint just to see how it looks, then put the old ones back on if I don't like it.

I say go for it also. If done right it would look killer. I just hate it when people leave the body kit the same color it came (usually white) and roll with it like that. Post up pics when and if you follow thru please.

Well, it's not really a kit, but yeah, I hate seeing people driving with primer on their kits, they look worse than stock. I'd be repainting the OEM lip and skirts. Also, the bottom half will not be staying all black, I'm having a side wrap put on the lower half with a Blackout (the H-53 from the transformers movie) theme, similar to the Yoda one from el-george.
