Default Stock headlight question.

Okay, so my stock headlights are off of the car. I had already painted the housing, but what I'm trying to figure out is this: the parabolic reflector of the headlight is broken up into three horizontal sections.

Presumably, one of those sections is supposed to favor the highs and one of them the lows.

What I want to do, is paint the part of the reflector that favors the highs (since I don't use em)
Does this make sense? If you look at a stock H4 headlight, there's always part of it that isn't lit when the lows are on.

Aight, so the bottom part of the reflector is what reflects up. My hope is that, by painting that part of the reflector, it will eliminate a lot of the HID glare that is problematic with H4 bases.

Haven't tested. It's still 10 degrees here. I'll wait until spring. Theoretically, it should work.

Thanks. When it warms up, I'll swap my heads and see if it made a measurable difference.

I do still think, however, that if you want an HID setup, the use of projectors is highly recommended.
