Hey guys, last week I got a flat tire on the e-way, and was 4 miles away from the next exit. The flat itself came from the sidewall of the tire, so I drove it slowly out of the e-way. During the drive my speed gauge light turned off. Didn't know until later my tail lights also don't turn on anymore.
I have checked all the fuses, and the bulbs, and yes I checked if they are dual filament bulbs. My signals work, brake lights work, hazards work, headlights, the only light on my dash that turns on is the clock and the warning sound when your headlight are still on won't turn on anymore too.
What can I do?
(* don't know if this matters, but I lost this light during the flat. And the cable is loose)
Loose cable most likely caused short and blew fuse. Secure wire and make sure there's no bare spots rubbed through insulation.
Pull all your fuses and fusible links and measure resistance across their legs. Only way to determine if it's good or bad.
I'd be billionaire if I had penny for every time I heard "fuse looks OK!" but actually didn't conduct any electricity.
