Default Vent Shades/Visors..

Hey Guy's And Gal's,

Thanks for all the input on the fog lights. Now We are trying to get the ventshades for the doors. Seems Autovent shades are the only ones I can Come up with.
The front ones don't fit because of the tab on window seal, and the back one are a shade too long for in channel.
But we can put both outside tabs out the window with double sided tape and they would work. Any body else having trouble or have gotten some that work, and from where?

Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Sitch76

I bought Wades from this vendor-

http://stores.ebay.com/Truck-Accessory-Depot

They fit fine, if a little tight on the rears. They've only been in for a couple of weeks, so we'll see how they hold up-

Default tab move

The tabs are glued down. I carefuly forced them up and worked a thin flat screwdriver underneath to lossen the glue. I then eyed up the tab slot on the ventshade then made a small reference mark on the car where I should reinstall the tabs. Then I lifted the rubber molding and wiggled/slid them in. I havent had any problems. No leaking or anything like that.

they are not glued down.

they are held in place with double sided tape. pinch the inside part and the outside part together and pull out of the window channel. (it will pull the rubber window molding out too)
you simple lift it up, move it, and put it back onto the tape...

yes, make a referance mark so you know where it needs to go.

I didnt slide the tab down because - I didnt want to seperate more molding than I had to. It wasnt too bad to slide it in.

weathertech FTW.

I bought the bug shield and the dark vents for 2 bills shipped. The front ventshades trailing edge cracked on the very end-edge when I was installing them - they were molded slightly (quarter inch) too long I guess,, anyways the expedited a new set to me for free - had them like in 2 days or so.

Weathertech is the shiz - they'll do you right.

Do in-channel visors require tape or glue to hold them in place, or do they just stick in and stay?

front in channel do not require anything to stay put...there size and ahape do the job well.

the rears use a small bit of 2 sided tape to keep them there when you first put them in.

although i never used the tape on mine and they are still fine after 2 yaers....

That's good to know. I would rather not use tape, if I can get away from it.

WADE are the best by far. thicker , better fit , better look , great price. about 54.00 shipped off ebay!!! much better then ventshades , weathertech or imo esams/fake esams. i hate their look and price is why not their quality.

Wade brand visors are 'in channel' ...

for the price, very good looks and installation was quite easy...
