Default What fits the screws on the Engine cover?

I remember seeing someone who used...it was either a Licenses plate screws or was it a
Valve tire stem cap cover on their engine cover instead of the little covered nuts that comes stock?

HELP ME, I'm trying to get this done before the show tomorrow.

Thank you.

if you spray WD40 onto the thread, and then hot glue inside the valve stem cover, place the valve stem cover onto the thread, come back after it drys and then BAM! custom bolts for your valve cover. Just unscrew the valve stems to take them off.

i used a hot glue gun and those free valve stem covers from SuperStreet magazine.

...i have alot of free time

Wow, that's a pretty clever idea. I think I might do that with mine.

I'm not sure about using hot glue under the hood but maybe WD40 and epoxy would work...
I think I need something that I can just go buy. I really don't have time to make anything tonight before the show.

I used Chrome nuts from the local hardware store.

Now that I think about it there is no way that valve stem covers will fit on them tiny screw heads.

***note on the hot glue thing, dont let the glue gun get too hot or the glue will run and it wont work right, use it when its hot enough to use, but not hot enough to run***

you could try to take pliers and then grind down the edges and sides of the stock bolts (10mm) until the caps fit inside...

there arent very many options to go with here...

i'll keep looking until i find another alternative. So far, my idea w/ the hot glue works for sure.

Try buying 10mm bolts that are fall through instead of top-off and then hot glue them to the bottom of the caps

...i like glue alot...

For the show I ended up just using some nice clean Wing-nuts. But I'm still looking for the right one. Maybe somethign Gear-like to match the oil cap....?

Those one's are cool. I'm kinda liking my wing-nuts that I put on there now. I was going to keep looking for something else but ... I just might leave them.
