Default Windshield and underbody protection

I'm getting an xB soon, and I've read about the cracked windshield issues, so I pose this question:

Is there a large aftermarket selection of those smoked plastic spoilers that create an air dam to protect the windshield?

Then I was thinking about underbody protection, because the box is kind of low to the ground...

Has anybody fabricated, or is there any sort of skid plate available to mount under the front bumper, to protect the suspension and engine, like something a Jeep might have?

Thanks

If there is an underbody protection let me know.

The second day of owning my box I was backing out the driveway and heard *SCHHH*. To my dismay I gt out and the underside of the lip was scuffed.

You can only see it if you bend down but knowing it's there hurts

The plastic protectors protect the edge of the hood against rocks and bugs. Smaller bugs may be lifted clear over the top of the car by the uplift. But large bugs will still hit the windshield, only higher up. And little rocks that pit and crack the windshield are too heavy to be affected at all by the uplift. There is no way to protect the windshield except staying far back from vehicles likely to throw off rocks. You can't do anything about rocks kicked up from the road, or from oncoming vehicles.

I was thinking of putting some of that truck bedliner stuff (rhino something) underneath the front bumper where it would scuff

I've had my xB about 3 weeks now and have tried to be so careful about staying waaaay behind cars in front of me.
Today .... I got my first little "pitting" from a stone thrown up from the road.
I heard it smack the windshield .... and was so bummed.
Thankfully it is a small little pit - and no cracking involved.
It is tiny and barely noticable ... but still bugs me like crazy to know its there.

How about that skid plate? I've torn the CV boots on my Civic several times, and it's an expensive repair because you typically have to replace the entire axle. You can't just re-pack the boots with lubricant and seal them up. I'd like to find a skid plate that would protect the axles from any debris you might run over.

Two and a half years later... has anybody fabricated a skid plate for our first-gen xBs?
