Default XB1 Headlight - Light Pattern

Hi,

Just curious if others have this going on....

I replaced both my stock headlight enclosures due to road hazard damage recently....

Now at night, it seems the lighting pattern is different than what I recall seeing before with my original headlight enclosures.

The new ones seem to give a brighter headlight output, but they seem to have a flat-top display pattern instead of more like a "starburst-ish" pattern from the originals....

Is there some mod that may have been done to the new headlight enclosures to give that flat-top type of pattern ?

I run Silverstar-Ultra bulbs and they do a very nice job for not being HID's or halos....

Dumb question... Do your bulbs have a glare shield on them? if so are they in upside down? the only thing that I can think of is if you had OER headlights and the plastic itself is different...

Thanks for replying.

The xB headlight bulbs are keyed so they only fit in one way.

The bulbs have no mods that I know of...they were brand new when I installed them.

I don't know if this matters. Do U know if the new headlights are dealer OEM or a cheaper aftermarket look alike part. Cause we all know sometimes there is a slight difference in the manufacturing of a part that may or may not be noticable.

I know the bulbs are keyed, I suggested the glare shield issue because those can sometimes bent/twist and move on the bulb... my best guess is that the plastic is different on the lens

Are these OEM lights from scion/toyota or stock equivalents? You may either need to adjust the aim of your headlights or make sure your bulbs are properly seated.

The enclosures I installed are also OEM stockers.... maybe the previous owner tweaked the insides of them in some way.... They look just like the ones I replaced, but seemingly are not....

oh well
