I've had my '06 since new, and for the same reasons. I wanted something to save on gas, but still keep my truck for house work, and towing/hauling. I find myself using the Xb a lot for the work.. it's got a ton of room for such a small car! Fun and easy to drive and cheap to run. It got a couple mods, but basically for mileage and handling. You got your for a good price. Here in NJ they seem to go for about $11-13k.

Now my 2004 Ram 2500 has a total of 15k miles. The 2006 Scion just passed 40k...lol (saved $$$ on the fuel costs, and have a second vehicle in the stable... ok, fourth!)

I bought my 2006 Scion xB new in August of 06, and at that time got lots of looks, and head shaking.

Now after gas went to $4.00 and more, and dropped, I get more questions, and they almost always start with, "What kind of Gas Mileage Do You Get?"

It is bone stock, automatic, and here in Florida we run the AC almost year round, I tell them that in the city I average 30 to 33 MPG depending on how I drive. On the road it is pushing 40 as long as I hold it to 65 or so. The look at their face is priceless!

I have seen a few 06 xB's on the lots and in the paper with twice the milage as mine, (24,000) for more than what I paid for mine New.

I just bought an ’06 xB last weekend, for $10.5 in Cincinnati. A bit higher miles (66k) but the nicer rims and new tires. I think the KBB was $12k or so, so I think I got a good deal too.

Love it so far, have already driven to Dayton & Columbus in it, no issues. The 40mph winds last night were NOT much fun however…
