Look I am a big guy, i got an automatic 05 xb and i want to replace the shifter handle for one that is not as wide but taller, so my leg dont keep hitting it or hitting the OD button... where can i get a new shifter **** that will work? will an aftermarket shifter still have a button for OD on and off?

 

how do you happen to change the appearance on the automatic shifter? That sounded weird... automatic... shifting *shudder*... Too used to it though : D

I've been looking on ebay as well to change the shifter... any links please?

 

ChrisLimEditionXB got them from AutoZone one is for my interior light ones is for my strobes and and will be for my under glow
BigMllc I looked for one with the button but I could not find one I got mine from pepboys you have to cut the wire for the over drive button I put my o/d under the center console

i think u missunderstood i was just asking where he got the stwitches from and what they did on his car also i have an man...so i wouldn't know anything abt how easy it is... sry

 

no its not hard just take out the screws form the shift **** pull up on it cut the o/d button wire its wrapped in black and silver plastic after you do that pull all the peaces of the stock shifter off there is a white plunger in the metal tube you have to cut it down there are holes on the side on thr metal tube place your new shift **** down over the plunger and place one of the set screws in the hole the line every thing up then after your done the just put the o/d button wires back together mark wich one goes to wich and that's in have fun and if you have any ? pm me

no just use the stock one mark wich wire gos to wish and tape them back up
