you have to add it to the auto-policy (pendin insurer rules) reciepts do not automaticly qualify for re-embursments.

per my gf who works for insurance industry

good luck. adding things that cover that to your policy is very expensive.

Anyone look at Grundy Worldwide? I know they will insure a cars agreed value, which includes perf parts, paint, body, etc. There is no model year limitation.

There is no right answer. You can't even go by what company "A" does vs. what company "B" does. Talk to your personal agent and ask them what your options your carrier offers. If you have an independent agent who handles multiple carriers, they can probably get you on with another carrier who better suits your needs if your current carrier is lacking.

Be aware though. There are certain modifications that pretty much NO insurance company will cover.

yeah... it just depends on your insurance company... cover different things at different rates... only thing that my gf said wouldnt be covered would be like custom paint jobs i.e 2/multi color etc.... you can get it covered but you'd have to pretty much turn it into a trailer queen... it'd only be covered while at show or in transit to/from show

Most companies require you to purchase additional coverage for wheels ect. Get it in writing and save all those reciepts. Be prepared to pay through the nose though.

My insurance co said take a pic(ha) and have it in writing that it was put on my car...thats for the rims. I haven't asked them about anything else. But as far as stereo equiptment. Mine got stolen a couple years ago. All they did was ask me what i had, and if i had receipts. i only had the the ones for the subs. The rest they just sent me the upgrades to what i already had...excpet for my box, i paid like $200 for both and they sent me one crappy $50 box, and they even sent me install money

My Insurance (American Family) covers anything on my car with no extra charges. When I hit a pothole and destroyed my 19's they covered it, with no reciept.
