Default Add -A-Circuit question

Ok the add-a-circuit has one wire coming off it (red/clear).

I'm going to wire my puddles threw the add-a-circuit.
but my puddles have two wires, (Red and white/black).

So the question is do I wire the red to the add-a-circuit
and just ground the black?

Or is this wrong?

Also what do I ground it too?

That should work. But I would wait to hear from one of the electrical experts, not me. It worked for my set up, so you should be ok.

Black is always ground. It's pretty much an industry standard. The red wire should go to your add-a-circuit. Really it should go to the switch between the puddles and add-a-cicuit unless you want them on all the time.

I would wire in a door activated plunger switch so the puddle lights come on when the doors are opened. Otherwise just wire them into a regular switch.
