Default AHHHH! help me decide!

Guys, i cant decide between an auto and a manual! My truck is a stick, and sometimes I love it to death, other times its the most annoying thing about it. I really wanted an auto xb to just cruise, but the stick has much more get up and go. What should I do?

if manual's bugging u now i don't see how it's gonna change just because u are in an xB. if it bothered you and you were getting into a more powerful car then i can see how it wouldn't bug you

I commute and that single fact made the decision VERY easy. Auto.

But thats just me.

dekthai is wise. If a stick bugs you now, it's hard to see that it wouldn't bug you no matter what you're driving. The trick is, would a stick bother you more than not-a-stick? (I.e., less-responsive auto.)

well, the way im looking at it now, I love my pop's stang cuz it has power, my truck is pretty much stock(mazda b2500) I know the xb isn't anywhere near the stang, buit with all the stuff im gonna do to it, i dont wanna waste it on an auto. You see the dilemma lol.

The question is, what kind of stuff do you plan on doing to it?

I prefer a manual. My last vehicle was my first automatic. I got an auto because I was tired of driving a stick in traffic and there was no manual trans available with the engine/trim I wanted. It was great for a while because I could just stomp and go (250 HP, AWD) and I didn't have to pay attention while driving. I got bored with it after less than a year and I vowed to get a manual again in my next vehicle.

So I got a 5 speed xB. I think it's great because it's geared really low. Even my manual pickups didn't have as low 1st gear as the xB. You can practically come to a stop while in 1st so inching along in traffic isn't that bad.

If I had to deal with stop and go traffic for more than a few miles every day, I'd probably get an automatic. I'd also probably get a different vehicle with a manual shift mode auto...

I have the automatic and I wished I had the manual. But because it's more my wifes car and she can't drive a stick, we opted for the automatic. If you know how to drive a stick, don't get the automatic. That's just my preference!
