I just ordered my Salsa Red XB on Jan. 3rd and my sales lady was going to call me today and give me an exact date of when it will be in. They are telling me some time the end of the month. The reason why I started this post was because I have not seen one Salsa Red XB in the Chicagoland area. Just wanted to see if I was going to be the only HOT Salsa in town!

Let me know if there are any out there.....

I guess you WILL be the only one. I really want that color also but I'm already one year into my xB payments, so that's out of the question. I have family in Berwyn and Cicero so I'll probably see you around...

The dealership I am buying my XB from let me "rent" (I didn't have to buy it) and XB overnight on Friday. It was an "06 BCP. I never really cared to much for that color, but it is pretty nice in person! After driving it though, I didn't want to drop it off!

I can't wait till I get that phone call!

 

Well, it is FINALLY here!!!!

My Salsa Red Pearl XB came in on Tuesday, January 31st! Talked to my Saleslady and it appears that I am the only one that ordered a Salsa Red XB in their selling area so far!

I decided last minute to have a moonroof installed so I should hopefully have my XB by this weekend.

I would put the pics on here, but I am not sure how to do that....

 

I was wondering when you were going to take delivery on your xB. Good choice going with the moonroof. That should look nice.

I still haven't picked mine up yet. They told me it was going to be ready yesterday and they called me in the AM and told me that my spoiler that came with the car was blue and one of my wheel locks was broken.

I was going to pick it up for this weekend and bring it back on MOnday so they can install the moonroof....I told them to just keep the car until the are completely finished with everything....I should hopefully have it by WEDNESDAY!

I KNOW IT WILL BE WORTH IT NOW!!!!

I picked it up today from the dealership! I love the MOONROOF!!! I am so glad that I decided to get it! The XB was definitely worth the wait!!!!

I tried updating my pics in the photo gallery but my old one won't delete! Can someone help?

I had the same problem with my photo gallery, but it actually does work, sometimes you have to log out and log back in to have it show up for you. If you look in this thread, the earlier picture I pasted from your gallery has been updated. Is that the right picture? If not PM me and I can walk you though (if you need it).

That's weird! Yeah that is the right picture! I such a wacko when it comes to trying to figure out these things!

It is definitely a great feeling! This is my first real car purchase! My other 2 cars were given to my by my parents and they were older cars so it is nice to drive in a new car for once!

It's great because I guess through my dealership, you can go anytime and they wash your car for you. I also did the warranty with the 6/75000 so I can get the oil changes (for free...I know I am technically paying for it), but if I don't need to use my warranty in it's lifetime I can get my $$$ back!

 

You'll be the only one until the middle of this month (if you count the western suburbs as Chicago). Mine came to port on Sunday and I should get it in a week or two. Couldn't be more excited, it's my first new car and I don't think I could've made a better choice from what I've read on here.

 

Heh, well, my wife and I will be getting a Salsa or a Shadow Mica in a few months... so there might be two of us in Portland

We just happened to decide we liked the two newest colors the best... but it'll be nice to be a little more rare!

Well, congrats on the purchase! As you have obviously read, I had to wait exactly a month for my Salsa Red XB. It seemed like forever, but it was definitely worth it!!!

It was my first new car purchase as well!

I am sure I might run into you in the Western Suburbs...where exactly are you located and which dealership did you buy yours from?

 

I'm in lombard and bought mine from Lombard Toyota/Scion. If I'd known that the Elmhurst Toyota was a sponsor of this site (I didn't find this site till after I bought the Scion) I would've gone there. I've been happy so far, and my xB came in today so we'll see how the rest of it goes.
