Default Anybody know someone that had their xB totaled in NJ?

My girlfriend just bought an 06 xB. And it was a total loss from the insurance company.

The dealer and carfax said it was a one owner no accident car. until three weeks later. when they called us.

It happened in Monmouth county.
Does anyone know about a black 06 xb being crashed in mid november of 07?

I am looking to find pictures of the accident.

Carfax says that the damage was to the left rear. But the car has work only on the front right. New fender, control arm, paint on doors and quarter panel of passenger side.

If anyone can help that would be great.

I feel a long drawn out lawsuit ahead.

DON'T TRUST CARFAX REPORTS.....

Thanks

Who is "they"? I thought carfax had a guaranty? Or do they insist they're correct and insurance is wrong?

The dealer called us.

I guess Carfax does not guarantee all vehicles. This was one of them.
Because the fact that NJ doesn't post their police reports until June and then in November.
So they won't guarantee the car until after June 1st.
We bought the car on May 30th.

I finally convinced Carfax that the xB was the one who hit a parked car. They had the vehicle swapped.

Here is what the carfax says now
"11/22/2007 New Jersey Police Report Accident reported in Monmouth County.
Involving a right front impact with a parked motor vehicle. Right front primarily damaged. Airbag deployed. The accident occurred at 2:52 am on 11/22/07 "

So now that I know the airbags deployed I understand how it was totaled out.

NJ goes through rigorous inspection to allow it to be titled also they clearly are marked as salvage
