I have been doing some electrical work on the xB and now my airbag light is on. I didn't tap into any different wires or anything like that. I just ran new rca's and such. The only thing I did new was install a new Optima battery. Any ideas or anybody have this happen before?

 

Try resestting the ecu, basically if you ever changed your oil yourself or anything, its pretty much the same thing. Before you turn off you car place the mileage display on odo. then before you turn the igntion on to accessories hold on to the button that resets your mileage for fuel & hold on to it until 5 bars disappears on the display. This should help resolve your problem. Hope this helps you

 

Just ran out and tried that.... Didnt work...

 

Its fixed.... It was on because I forgot to plug the harness back in under my passenger seat....

 

You might want to reset the ecu after plugging the harness back in. Not a big deal, but I think the code will still be in the ecu. I took the seat out once and when I went to the dealer a few weeks later they found the code even though the harness had been plugged back in.

 

Mine did the same thing, I took a trip to the store to buy a fuse for the power wire after installing the stereo, I had not remounted the passenger seat yet since I put my amp for my front speakers under there and I still needed to be able to easily access the gains after I got back with my fuse for the fuse holder.


Plugged the seat back in and problem solved!

 

Where does the seat unplug? Cause mine is doing it too. I had the seat folded down so I could haul some stuff, it might have come unplugged in the process...

 

Front seat...Its the harness for the seat belt...

Yea, I was almost tearing stuff apart thinking I pinched a wire or something... Wait until the meet, hopefully most of the system will be done.... ;)

 

make sure its bolted down...i gots sticky fingers....lol
