Default Auto--> Manual Trany/Auto Start/Cruise Controll

I have a 05 xB automatic transmission. I have a couple of questions:

1) has any one converted a automatic to manual transmission in a xB and how much work is in cluded? swappin out tranys is no problem for me im just woundering about the clutch peddle install?

2) has anyone found out a way to install an auto start on a manuel?

3) what is the price range for a good cruise controll for a xB? is there a xB model out there that i can get instead of using some crappy third party one?

1) Why would you ever want to swap transmissions? If you bought an auto and you wanted a manual, you bought the wrong vehicle.

Its gotta be possible but I'd say screw it and move mods from the auto to the manual. It'll probably be much cheaper that way.

I'd only buy the one cruise control Scion sells which is a 3rd party one.

Here is a link to where I bought the cruise for my wife's RS 3.0.

http://www.mnrelectronics.com/scxa2020crco.html

It took about 30-40 minutes to install it. very easy to do.
It's also the same cruise that I got from the dealer on my RS 2.0 and
it is half the price. This model also has the RF switch so you can
mount it where ever you like.

I got the one with the RF switch and love it. Changing over the tranny would be a nightmare, I think that the whole setup for a manual would be different. I bought my auto and wanted a manual, but with all the work I have done I would not switch now. Also I have heard that the clutch in the manual is not that great.

Not worth it, trade it in for a MT.

To answer #2, it is very easy. Instead of hooking the start wire from the remote start to the ignition, hook it to the clutch switch behind the clutch pedal (I think it is the Black/Yellow wire).

Swapping trannys would be a huge pain and is not worth it. The five speed is fun though.
