Default The time has finally come!

Well, I've been making plans since mid-March to get my RS3.0 and after many delays (to be expected I can only assume) I should be driving it by this time next week. The border has cleared me to import the vehicle into Canada this coming Tuesday so I'll be going down in Washington to pick it up, bring it here (hear being Vancouver, British Columbia) and then I must do a few things to conform to Canadian standard (mainly hooking up daytime running lamps). I'm getting very excited, parts have been pilling up for months and finally there will be a car to put them on . I'll be sure to bring along a camera and post pics of the trip for everyone.

Congrats on the long expected arrival.... DRL's are required up there huh??? where in WA are you picking it up at?

anyways... about 8-9 of us are gonna be heading up there the weekend of May 13th, we're entering the Sports Compact Nights show...if your attending check out the SE group of scions ... one of the guys showing will be a RS3.0 so you can compare notes

anyways.. enjoy the car... and look for mini-caravan up there in a couple weeks

When I had my PW xB up there in Vancouver a couple weeks ago it caught a lot of attention - an RS3 is even more noticible.

Have fun with your box! I know you will get a LOT of looks. :D

Thanks every one for the comments.

Yes DRLs are required, I think that is the main issue. I've also heard that depending on how picky the inspector is that day he might even make me change all of the warning stickers from english and spanish to english and french

kkawana,
I am picking it up from Magic Toyota/Scion in Edmonds. I was thinking of attending the SCN show, I might have to now if there's going to be some scions showing up.

Tomas,
there are a few xBs and xAs drving around up here and they always catch people's eyes. I can only assume a lime green one is going to get even more looks . At least I'm already used to it. My current vehicle is a Toyota Levin imported from japan so it gets plenty of attention being right hand drive and all.

I'll keep everyone up to date with pics.

You could just get oem foglights or jdm foglights and wire them to be drl's. I have the switch wired to the cig lighter on my jdm ones so they have constant power. I use them as drl's often.

Congrats on getting one up there eh :D

Hello everyone,
I just got back from Edmonds with my new vehicle. Everything went very smooth and the vehicle is better than I imagined, good old #1258. here are a few pics along with a cool MR-S that was at the dealer, I was excited because we don't have that vehicle in Canada.

I'll have to start a new post when the wheels and other parts start going on.

Here's a pic pretty much right after the border (note the welcome to Surrey, B.C. sign)

I believe that is an MR2. I bought one of the first one's here in 1985. Great to drive--but about the same power as the xB--and no room! Your car looks great so far. I see you have the matching strut bar already. Good luck and have fun!!!

When I got my TRD Strut bar and rear Sway they were red... not Green... Oh well... it looks good red. Something different from matching the exterior of the car. Eyecatcher I should say.

my rear sway bar is red. i was expecting a red strut bar but when i opened the hood it was green, i was surprised, supposedly it's like 1 of 400 or so the dealer told me.
