In Japan they make to bb AWD. Does anyone know where I can get the kit or where I can buy the AWD package.

# Question : Is it legal to import a Japanese car in my country ?
# Answer : We don't know the regulations of other countries. Please ask somebody in your own country.
When you do all the research you'll find out it'll cost you probably twice that by the time you have a RI(Registered Importer) bring it up to US specs. Don't you think if that's all it took, you'd see A LOT more exotic Japanese and european cars over here.

Do any of you guys remember a former SL member GotSkyline? Well, he got a Skyline but I don't think he ever got it out of the RI...

But they'll be more than happy to sell you one and let you find out the hard way.

Why would you go to all that trouble just for AWD?

Just buy the bB and take your xB's VIN codes, plates and change them, then destroy the xB. If you have to smog it then you'll pay big$$$. It's just a way to go. Or research it and get off road registration for shows. Or shoot yourself in the foot and go to the hospital. Just a thought.

also, i believe there may be some issues in trying to register a Right Side Drive car in the States....would you have to get it built to left said drive?

Heheheheheh... You may want to buy up several of them so the government can crash a few to assure themselves they meet the US standards, too. :D

Hmmmmmmm... If one wants a strange, boxy, right-hand-drive four-banger, why not just buy a surplus USPS Jeep thing?

An AWD xB would be a very nice piece of machinery in my neck of the woods, but I don't ever expect to actually see one...

I dont think that the RHD would be that big of an issue, I've seen plenty of RHD vehicles around here, theres even a RHD Saturn Station wagon I saw the other day.
I think its more to do with Crash testing and such.
If not just get a job working for the USPS and tell them its for work ;)

the biggest problem is safety
the glass (all), bumpers, and speedo recalibrate

NEVER buy a performance car from Japan
they have 99octane at the pump, WE do not!!
