in america, rarely does cars get cool features like this
unless its the TOP OF THE LINE and hi-trim.

for 14 grand.. they won't give us a car that will have navigation..
lol we don't even have cruise control

ya i've totally been plotting on adapting the gps/touchscreen out of an pirus to my xB, it's a double-din unit and should fit perfectly, and looks a lot like the jdm unit, and best of all it would work here in the states - only thing is they are mad $$$$

gonna hold off for a while, but i really, really want to do it!

maybe after i get my exhaust, a body kit and some hid's i'll start saving for it ;)

if your looking for a cheaper altearnative for gps get a pda(hp has the best right now i have a 2215) but u can jus get a base model for $199 with blue tooth, and buy there blue tooth gps works good on my xB. downside is the screen size, but who needs a 15' lcd screen to tell you were to go.

it looks like the old eclipse double din unit i think the sister to the 7001 fold out unit i dont remember the model number but you could hook up the add on gps receiver it was sorta plain graphics if i remember correctly it kinda looked like 3d graphics kinda hard to explain

of course it eclipse --- that is made by fujitsu ten(spelling??)--- which is owned by toyota or vice versa i think --- cause if you had any of the old style eclipse decks or the 7001 unit it had the same wire harnesses that would clip into the factory harness--- kinda cool

if i could get my hands on one i would put it in - in a heart beat it looks fat jdm i s h !!

The factory navagation system the bB has is pretty sweet. I was in Tokyo and my friend had it in his and it worked perfect. It also has a TV in it too. We drove all over in that thing and it never missed a beat.

Default Eclipse Double Din Navigation/DVD with Touchscreen

If anyone is interested in quality in dash video/gps system...Eclipse is coming out with a new double din 6.5" in dash system with motorized/touchscreen monitor. A good friend reps for them just went to CES show in Vegas and said its the best one they ever made and higher quality then most in dash touchscreen from other companies. Price should start at about $2000...GPS is CD loaded software and upgrades cost about 60$ a year. this replaces the Eclipse 7301 (currently one of the best in dash)......monitor should be out in April or sooner. Watch Eclipse dealers near you. I think I am going to install one in my XB.
