It's me now. Yeah the F'n deer hit me in the head from the side. Didn't even see it coming. Took me right off the left side and I slid accross the oncoming lane then off into the grass. Thank God no one was coming from the other direction or I would have been killed.
I have road rash from my left ankle up to my left wrist.
This was her brand new Rebel 250 we just got on Thurs., it had under 200 miles on it. I'm hoping insurance replaces it with a new one. After I was knocked off it kept going and crashed about 150 ft. later. Talk about ghost riding. Not sure how long the skin will take to heal. Just glad they found the thing on my petuitary gland early on. I'll be on here a bit while I'm home healing. Thanks so much for the prayers and concern. It means a bunch guys!!!!

Glad to see your online and posting! Rest up and really take it easy the next few weeks. Sorry about the loss of the bike, but those things can be replaced.

Just take it easy for a bit. Im sure you are pretty sore and feel bad - but itll get better pretty quick I bet. Take care

yea dude i hope you get better soon as well.

and get yourself some riding gear. if you're not willing to wear leathers you shouldnt be on a motorcycle. it's just not worth it, for you or your family.

I hear ya on the leathers. I normally do but that day we were riding slow as hell and it was about 90 degrees out. Just breaking in the Rebel 250. I'm glad it was me and not my wife. That would have killed me more.

sorry to hear about the accident. I had a growth (tumor) on my pituitary gland a year ago, but got it removed and am perfectly fine now, it's not too bad when they catch it early. Was in the hospital for only a week too.

Geez Jeff, I don't check out SL for a couple of months and look what happens. Kathleen and I will be praying for your speedy recovery and for strength for Joanie as I'm sure it is hard on her also. Mrs. Glock 32 and I appreciate you both. You are just ornery enough that I'm surprised you didn't chase that deer into the woods and would be munching on some deer jerky right now, so your spill must have been bad.

Get plenty of rest my friend.

Only visiting here once in awhile and dang, hope you are alright Jeff!

Sorry about the bike, but chrome and steel heal better than you! Hope you recover FAST.

Glad it was not the wife! I would rather hurt double than to see my wife hurt at all. And that dumb a$$ deer, if it hurt my wife, I would have gone Rambo on its a$$.

Get well! Keep us posted.

Thanks Robert, it means a lot. I'm just sorry it's under these circumstances.
The insurance adjuster should be here today so we can work on getting her scoot back to new again. She can still ride her 1100 Shadow so it's not all bad.
I'll try and post up some pics of my wounds and her bike later. Road rash sucks a$$!!!
